Ash Coffee Table.

New from Eternal.

Just finished up this really cool ash coffee table. The top is made from a book matched set of salvaged ash boards. The tree was filled with rot, this decay caused some beautiful color variations and figure.

Recycled Desk

New from Eternal.

The client just renovated their home, but wanted something built out of salvaged wood. The desk was designed and built to bring back some of the original character into the new contemporary home.

These pictures show the project from start to finish. The main panel that makes up the top had to be taken apart and re-made to fit the new dimensions.

Customer Review

Customer Review, Thanks Mike!
You can see Mike's coffee table a few posts down.

As the co-founder of CustomMade, I know a lot of really talented woodworkers. But when it came time to get a coffee table for our offices, there was no question that Brian McAlpine was the man for the job. For one, I love his clean style and the way that his pieces let the wood speak for itself. Also, Brian is a young guy in an older industry, and I strongly believe in supporting the youth of this industry. Brian is also into recycled, storm damaged, and reclaimed woods, which I have an interest in. He also has a "handmade" tattoo on his hand.. how cool is that?! The process of purchasing the table was easy and really great. First Brian and I met in his shop so I could get a sense of what I was looking for.. I wanted something local, live edge, and interesting. He found a nice piece of storm damaged wood from Haverhill (even took pictures of about 10 boards before I chose the right one). Then Brian took me through various revisions through google sketchup until I was totally happy with the outcome. When delivered, he even threw in some handmade coasters to protect the table.. I could not be happier with our piece, it is a conversation starter when we bring people into the office to talk about

In the Shop: Walnut Credenza!

Heading into the final stretch on this custom walnut credenza.Doors will get one more coat of oil, then everything will be waxed.

The photos do not show the base, shelves or other doors. Last photo shows the back of the cabinet. After the back is installed the cabinet will look completely finished from the back, allowing you to use the cabinet as a room divider.
